About the Author

Fr. Goran Azinović was born in 1988 in Konjic. He attended primary school in Bijakovići and Čapljina. He finished the Classical Grammar School at the seminary in Visoko and  graduated from the Faculty of Theology and Philosophy at the Faculty of Catholic Theology in Zagreb. He is a member of the Herzegovina Franciscan Province and currently lives and works as a parish vicar in the Parish of Christ the King in Čitluk.

About This Book

The second book by Fr. Goran, beautifully entitled The Mysterious Rose, speaks of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the most beautiful Christian prayer - the Rosary. Apart from instructions on how and why to pray the Rosary, Fr. Goran carefully elaborated all four mysteries, and the book can also serve as a kind of meditation for the faithful during the prayer of the Rosary. Also, this book contains excellently elaborated invocations of the Lauretan litanies, in which everyone can meet better Mary in a new and different way - as the Blessed Mother, the Golden House or the Queen of the Franciscan Order. In the second part of the book, the author brings deep meditations about Mary as a Beautiful Lady, saved time and the Star of the Sea. He also added beautiful songs: Depths, Pilgrim on Podbrdo or Her Eyes and much more.

The Author Speaks

There was a saying on a wall: "There are two kinds of people: those who open doors and those who close them." Who am I and which kind am I? Perhaps we opened doors to many people, but there are surely those to whom we closed doors. That is what hurts! It hurts to close a door before a person who is in need. Mary teaches us to open the doors of our hearts to all, but mostly to God. Indeed, it was God who kocked at the door of her heart, asking her to become the Mother of our Savior. She opened the door of her heart when she said: "Fiat - may it be to me according to thy will." God was not let at the door of her heart. Mary did not make God a "homeless person", but she gave Him her heart and allowed Him to enter her life.
