About This Book

Although it may sound unusual, it is true: our time is a time of prayer. The people of our time, who are always in a hurry, do stop to pray after all. They do so because they feel an instinctive need to talk to God, to tell Him what they are unable to tell someone else, not even their dearest friends, because they know that God is the closest and most intimate friend a person can have. Therefore, dear reader, if you want to be close to and more intimate with our greatest friend, Jesus Christ, then stop and reflect on this book. It will teach you in a simple way to pray and to love God and your neighbour.

We have read many books about prayer. This book is a prayer. This book does not deal with how we should pray, but prays, as every Christian should pray – from heart to heart, from soul to soul, from the painful cry of a wretched man to the merciful response of the God-man.

The Author Speaks

In this book you will read that Our Lady invites you to pray before the Cross and before the Blessed Sacrament. She also invites you to confess well, to prepare yourself well for Holy Mass and to give thanks after it. You will find messages urging you to consecrate yourself to God through the hands of the Virgin Mary. To consecrate oneself to God means to decide every day for love, forgiveness and mercy, to decide against evil and sin, against Satan and all his deeds, as well as against all collaboration with him.

Every prayer could be finished in haste; we can “say” all our prayers, but without having met Jesus and Mary. If we do this, there is a danger of wasting our time and never coming to like prayer. Therefore, it is important to take time for prayer.

Pray with the Heart

Excellent book filled with reflections written by Father Slavko to help focus prayer from your Heart as Our Lady asked.  The adoration meditations are the best I have ever used.  The Stations of the Cross will bring you to Golgotha immersed in Jesus' sufferings for each of us.
